Note: We strongly recommend that truckers and other visitors use the directions supplied below rather than using a mapping service.

After crossing the bridge at 106 Western Avenue, large trucks should stay on the lower level, as there is no turn-around space up the rise.

From Route 128

Follow Route 128 North to Exit 15, labeled "Manchester/Essex". [Note: Massachusetts, known for their road wisdom, has two exits numbered '15' on Rte. 128. One is south of Boston. Make sure your exit 15 is NORTH of I-90.] Turn left at ramp stop sign, crossing over Rte. 128 towards Essex. Follow this tree-lined road (School St.) for about 5 minutes into Essex, when you come to a stop sign. Turn left (West) onto Route 133. Go approximately a half-mile (past restaurants and antique shops). Leaving the Periwinkle Restaurant on your right, turn left (South) off Rte. 133 onto Route 22.

Approximately a half-mile along Rte. 22 you will see on your left a sign for 106 Western Avenue, "Gullwing Service Company dba Paul Russell and Company". (If you come upon the Essex Building Center on your left, go back.) The entryway passes over a small stream. Our front entrance is at the far right end of the complex, around the corner at the top of a small rise. We are about 4.5 miles from Route 128.

From I-90, East or West

From I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike), take Exit 14 onto I-95 North. On I-95 North at Exit 45, follow signs to take Route 128 North (towards Gloucester). Then follow our directions above from Rte. 128 North to the shop.

From Boston's Logan International Airport

Driving time from the airport is about 1 hour, depending on traffic. From the airport, follow signs and take Route 1A North, then Route 60 North, then Route 1 North, and then I-95 North. On I-95 North at Exit 45, follow signs to take Route 128 North (towards Gloucester). Then follow our directions above from Rte. 128 North to the shop.

From I-93, North or South

From I-93 (north or south), take Exit 37 for I-95/Route 128 North. On I-95 North at Exit 45, follow signs to take Route 128 North (towards Gloucester). Then follow our directions above from Rte. 128 North to the shop.

From the North via I-95

From I-95 Southbound, take Exit 54, Route 133 East, to Rowley/Ipswich/Essex. Rte. 133 will be joined by Route 1A in Rowley. After going through downtown Ipswich, stay on Rte. 133 by turning left onto John Wise Avenue as Rte. 1A continues straight-forward. A few more miles on you will enter the town of Essex. After a curve to the left and a small rise, take a right onto Route 22, just before the Village Restaurant. Approximately a half- mile along Rte. We are about 15 miles from I-95 via Rte. 133.
