250 GTO Reunion

September 12-18, 2022

Our client’s recently restored 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO No. 3413 performed admirably in what is likely the world’s most exclusive rally. The 2022 edition traversed Virginia and Tennessee on some of the most spectacular driving roads in the country, and coincided with the 60th anniversary of the 250 GTO.

This one-of-a-kind gathering of GTO owners and their cars takes place every five years and includes luxury accommodations, fine dining, unforgettable scenery, and the camaraderie of a select group of collectors who have achieved the car world’s ultimate prize. Highlights this year included track time at Virginia International Raceway, and a run down the infamous Tail of the Dragon. 3413 (third from the bottom) is seen here amongst friends.

Concours at Hampton Court

September 4, 2022

The first weekend in September saw the Ferrari 365 P Berlinetta Speciale ‘Tre Posti’ continuing to delight concours attendees, just as it had during its 1966 debut. The event was the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court, held at the great Tudor palace North of London that was a favorite residence of Henry VIII. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the event. The Tre Posti won in a special Ferrari class commemorating the 75th anniversary of the storied marque. The win mirrored its win last Spring in a similar class at Villa d'Este (Cavallino at 75: Eight Decades of Ferrari). This description from the event organizers says it all:

“For 2022, the Concours was celebrating the 75th anniversary of Ferrari with a very special category, assembling perhaps the finest selection of machines from Maranello ever seen in the UK. From the astonishing line-up, it was the one-of-two, nigh-mythical Ferrari 365P Berlinetta Speciale – more commonly known as the ‘Tre Posti’ that took victory.”
